Renown tokyo-based composer and master sound manipulator Zbigniew Karkowski with the LASALLE College of the Arts presents an evening of audacious instrumental collaborations with the students of the School of Contemporary Music. Creating sonic art works utilizing Karkowski's relentless attention to detail, focusing on... the reworking and ordering of a collection of instrumental schards with electronic processing.
Zbigniew Karkowski has studied with composers Iannis Xenakis, Pierre Boulez, Olivier Messiaen, and Georges Aperghis and has produced numerous works in the field of both acoustic and electronic music including chamber works, pieces for large orchestra and opera. He is also the founding member of the electro-acoustic music performance trio Sensorband.
This is the last chance to catch Zbigniew Karkowski in Singapore for a while, the rehearsals with the students this week are sounding amazing! This will be something special.

Word of caution
Unless you can appreciate/enjoy Noise music, or if you find the noise from construction sites music to your ears, please DO NOT attend this concert.
Feedback and sounds worse than those from a construction site will be performed. And will go straight through your ears like a bullet straight through your head. Except that the bullet in your head will be much faster and less painful.
Fun as it was to collaborate with Mr Zbig, and much as I respect him,
I certainly WOULD NOT LIKE to be forced to quit school, or thought of as demon-possessed or perceived as a mental patient who escaped from IMH.
