Recently, people have been asking me about the lyrics I wrote for a school project.
And they were all saying that they like the lyrics,
and asking how I could craft out such words.
And also many many requests for the lyrics.
And because of that,
I shall put them up here.
It's not like everyone will hear the song again, so it's alright.
And if possible, I will rewrite the whole song.
Because I had not originally planned for the words to be part of the song for the school project,
but I was too lazy, and used it (lol)
Of course, I've been editing the lyrics here and there,
and adding some new lyrics to it.
So the version everyone heard in school is not the latest.
But I think it'll do for everyone right now who wants the lyrics.
When I have the time, I will compose for these strong, beautiful words.
Everything i believed in
Came crashing down
The truth is a lie
There is nothing to hold onto
Laughter turns into tears
Broken dreams, broken idols
The perfect man
Disappears into the air
I want to forget this
But the nightmare returns
Where is the savior?
It's a tiring struggle

How do I explain it?
It's a very personal song to me.
And I guess...
Perhaps it's very difficult to grasp the full meaning of it,
until you've gone through it.
I went through a difficult time,
and it really seemed as though my world had come crashing down on me.
And it was also the time when i wrote the lyrics.
But it's alright now.
Really.
Even if I continue to cry and get upset over it, reality will not change.
I will move on with life.

the magic of Music
I was told "Do you know when you play the piano, a contact point is made? Between the composer and the pianist."
I think it's the same for the musician and the listener too.
Music will be our bridge.
When you hear my music,
2 people will become 1.
No matter how far apart we are,
I'll be by your side when you hear my music.
And so,
You probably will understand my emotions.
That is the power of music, isn't it?
Lol.

Firstly, today (if I remember correctly) is SUGIZO-san's birthday.
Do wish him "Happy Birthday" wherever you are.
Failing memory is a sure sign of growing old and dementia, lol.
And it's also my brother's birthday. That is what makes it easier for me to remember SUGIZO-san's birthday, lol.
Everyone, do go over to my brother's blog and wish him "Happy Birthday" as well, ok? You can always flood his mobile phone with birthday wishes as well.
It's not my phone. I won't scream, and my phone won't get confiscated, lol.
So many birthdays in July. My friends say that October has the most number of babies, but I beg to differ. There's at least 1 birthday every week in July in my calendar, at least.
Is there anything else to mention?
I keep losing my train of thoughts today...
Oh yes. Yesterday was 七夕 (Star Festival), wasn't it?
Much raved about by Kaya (mostly about what to wear), lol.
Speaking of Kaya, he's a wonderful friend i've found. He has always been there for me whenever I was upset, always protecting me in his own ways.
He's like a sister to me, more than a sister perhaps.
I don't know, I never had a sister before.
He once told me (or more accurately, read out to me from his previous blog entry) something which I felt very encouraging.
Perhaps more of like a "Wow! This sounds so nice!" kind of feeling, lol.
And I shall post it up here, painstakingly typed out and translated because he made his settings such that no one can right-click on his blog (-_-;)
In English, it means:
Even if you have it bad right now, it'll just become something to laugh about a few years from now!! Lol
If you add just one more stroke to the Kanji character for "harsh", it becomes the Kanji character for "happiness".
In other words,
If you take just one step from that "harsh" situation, "happiness" is waiting for you.
The important thing is changing your mind-set and having a positive dispostion♪
Such meaningful words, don't you think? I love the way he looks at things, and how he makes such meaningful remarks.
Stringed beautifully, it's like a symphony playing beautiful music right in front of your eyes, enveloping your every sense.
Maybe I read too much into his words, lol. Or maybe I'm just biased cos he's my 大切と特別な仲間 (precious and special friend)
To everyone who is having it bad right now, I hope his words encourages you like it did me.

レコーディング終わった!
Ah... What will I do without Denny? If it wasn't for him, I'd most probably still be doing the editing at this hour, lol.
I'm really bad at it.
Recording ended at 12mn.
I was so tired, with the lack of sleep from days before, I was walking more like a zombie than an exhausted person.
My legs were criss-crossing and I was walking at snail pace.
I must have looked like some kind of drunkard, lol.
But at the same time, I feel bad. Cos he spent his time editing the songs, he didn't have time to prepare the slides for the keyboard training in the morning.
The power of a recording engineer.
Or maybe I should say, "The power of DENNY". lol.
Studio recording really is tiring, isn't it?
No wonder everyone says I'm nuts to be excited over studio recording.
But I still like it though (笑)
The process was an enjoyable one, although I think if I do it all the time, I'll just dislike it completely, lol.
Carol, if you're planning to do credits, please credit Denny ok?

May 2
On this day, 10 years ago, one of the world's most beloved and respected guitarist, hide-san, passed away.
Well known for his guitar skills and so many other things, his character, music and other talents have inspired people all over the world in so many different ways.
Through him, other respected musicians were birthed. He was one of the pioneers of the Japanese Rock scene, the Visual Kei scene.
His lively character, amazing guitar solos, and the continuation of his solo works are still missed by everyone.
Although physically gone, he lives on in our hearts forever
And so, Dry your tears... with Love

There's A Light
It will be out on 4.13, so please wait in expectancy. That's the day we're holding the GB Enrollment Service in church.
I love the song already, even though it's a children's song, lol. It's stuck in my head. When all of us heard it, we were like, "It sounds so good! It doesn't sound like us! It sounds way better than us!"
Haha... Now we know the power of recording. Either Denny did a really good job (which is "like DUH!"), or we underestimated ourselves. Or maybe both.
Si'er has also kindly given his consent to put the song up on our blogs and in our mp3s. Thank you very much, Mr. Zhang! Lol.
Exciting, exciting! Hope you enjoy the song as well.
I shan't say how long we took to complete the 3 versions of the song (only 2 will be used though, since the last one we were given free rein to mess around and messed up the song, LOL!), for both practice and rehearsal. You'll be shocked.

Pride vs Arrogance
A person who is truly good in his talents will never be arrogant.
I know many musicians who are good, very good in their skills, who are way above average. Yet, they do not boast about their skills, and they are never arrogant about it.
Instead, they are always learning, from their peers, from their respected musicians. The baseline is there is always room for improvement.
Yes, they are proud of their talents. Who will not be proud of the talents given to them, of the standard they have trained so hard for? Yet, their pride do not give way to arrogance. Yes, they do show off, but yet, you do not see a trace of arrogance in their display.
Their pride is acceptance of their skill level, yet always striving for improvement. They are humble in the area they are talented in, always learning, always improving.
Arrogance blocks off an important route - the route to improvement. To think he is good and goes all haughty over the fact, there is no longer any room for improvement simply because he thinks he's the best.
Arrogance is a dangerous character for a human to possess.
